Thorne Cottage

 

Thorne is a historic listed medieval house, with spacious accommodation and gardens only two and a half miles from three glorious Pembrokeshire beaches, Broadhaven, Barafundle and the surfers favourite, Freshwater West. It is situated in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and on the route of the Coastal footpath.

 

Situated on the outskirts of Bosheston and Stackpole with their two pubs, St. Govans Inn, Stackpole Inn and the Olde Worlde Cafe it has a wealth of beaches coves and cliff top walks as well as the Lilly Ponds at Bosheston maintained by the National Trust. Pembroke is the nearest town situated five miles away. Thorne sleeps up to 13 people.

 

There are three double bedrooms in the house one ensuite (with shower), situated on the ground floor, and one double on the first floor and a family room (sleeps 3 double bunk) which share a large family bathroom (bath, shower, toilet & basin). By the swimming pool is "The Pool house" which sleeps four with a loft double plus two singles, a shower, wc, and in the paddock is the "Romany caravan" a traditional varda.

 

A large open plan kitchen with AGA, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, runs into the dining area and then flows into a spectacular contemporary conservatory. (Washing machine in boot and coat room. A snug sitting room with TV/DVD, runs into the full height medieval hall, which is full of sofas and a large wood burner, which is ideal for your evening, get together.

 

The Gardens extend to 4 acres with a tree house, a trampoline and a swimming pool adding plenty of activities for children.

 

The house is cleaned once a week to maximise your holiday experience, and the pool is also backwashed and cleaned once a week.

 

Pets and are allowed (up to three dogs at £15 per week extra) bed linen but not towels are provided. There is parking for up to six cars.

 

Thorne is an enchanting house, which warmly welcomes families and friends. For those with chidren it is a haven.

 

Days can be spent by the pool and in the gardens, and at night fires around the gypsy caravan are popular!

 

There is Accessibility for disabled visitors. The provision of the downstairs bedroom accommodates those with difficulty walking. The ensuite shower room is an addition to this. Whilst not ideal for wheelchair users, it is not impossible!

 

If your holiday party is even larger why not hire adjacent Thorne chapel, which sleeps 14 Bunkhouse style and will be also licensed for weddings commencing June 2010!
